Grosvenor North America is currently working to redevelop one of their properties along Calgary’s iconic 17th Avenue. This multi-phase mixed use project includes the complete renovation of a 9 storey office building and the development of two residential towers housing over 500 units. Grosvenor tasked Stantec Calgary’s inner city team to manage the land use redesignation, Area Redevelopment Plan policy amendments, public engagement sessions, and development permit process. Our team has ensured the project team delivers on time, works with the client on messaging to the public, neighbourhood associations, business districts as well as to City administration and will be presenting to approving bodies including the Urban Design Review Panel, Calgary Planning Commission, and Calgary City Council.
City Council and Calgary Planning Commission unanimously approved the policy amendments, land use redesignations and development permits in March 2018. Construction to comments May 2019 on Phase 1.
