Downtown Evanston Zoning Update

In 2009 the City of Evanston formally adopted the Downtown Evanston master plan. As a major component of that plan, a new zoning code was written and to be implemented to replace the current zoning that regulates downtown Evanston. My primary duties were to work with Plan Commission and city staff to augment the proposed zoning into a format that would be compatible with other City regulations. Currently, the zoning update is heading to City Council for final review and approval.
